CASCADEN
Cascaden was built in Southhampton, Ontario in 1866. In October 1867 the tiny ship was caught in a storm off Kincardine,
the schooner was rescued by the steamer Silver Spray and towed to Goderich harbour. Cascaden sailed only four more years before
was wrecked in October 1871 on the shoals of Cape Hurd. Today it is badly broken up and scattered over a wide area (including
the shoreline). This wreck is rarely dived since there is no central location and it parts are scattered over dangerously
shallow shoals.
